The UK Forest Stewardship Council, is an international organization, non-governmental in nature, whose mission is dedicated to promoting responsible management plans for the world s forests. The FSC looks at ways of spreading healthy and sustainable practices across the world that allow for the jobs and the needed resources to be produced. This can be done without the destruction of protected forests and while encouraging practices like replanting and selective harvesting that allows the world s ecosystems to remain healthier. The council is based out of the UK, and their approach is very specific.
